Nikki’s Story

“I, Nicole “Nikki” Shine had become homeless after deciding to return home to Florida from another state and being scammed on a house rental. I traveled to many shelters and was rejected for many different reasons or told they were full. Just a few weeks later and I had lost my job, my 3 children, my car, and my freedom. After overcoming addiction and many obstacles I was able to gain everything I had lost, back....in under 1 year.“

Nicole’s Dream

After my brief life experience of being homeless, on drugs, and released from jail. I know now exactly how the affects drugs had on me not leaving the streets combined with all the easy resources available to those who are also ready to recover. Life Recovery is real. This foundations role is to walk people through each step of recovering their lives while preventing homelessness and addiction in each and every way we possibly can.

I am filled with hope and determination as I embark on the journey towards achieving my dream of opening a transitional house. The vision of creating a supportive and empowering space for individuals facing challenges resonates deeply with me now. The road ahead may be challenging, but my passion is to provide all the services that I had wished I had known about earlier in my homeless journey. With dedication and perseverance, I believe in the potential to turn this dream into a reality, creating a haven where individuals can rebuild their lives and embrace a brighter, more hopeful future.
